I just recently received some great new wild bird fabrics, including two that are part of a series called Birds of Maine. These are very realistic prints with lovely berry backgrounds.
This is a nuthatch print with a colorful bittersweet vine background:
The second one in the series is a Cedar Waxwing print. Reportedly, cedar waxwings will eat fermented berries and act "drunk".
This fabric has tiny chickadees in an aspen forest:
I have been trying really hard NOT to buy a whole bunch of new fabric, but I have to indulge once in a while! My excuse- I have to keep things fresh in my Etsy shop instead of looking at the same old stuff over and over. Plus I like to get new fabric in the mail and work with something beautiful.
This is a fun new print called Eclipse from the Celestial Magic collection from Laurel Burch:
Another new bird print Called Winter Hike Blue Jays in Birches:
And a lovely floral and bird print- Canto Garden Birds:
I have already cut out a few bags and sewn up one of them, so stay tuned for new listings in the shop!
At the moment, I have 3 sets of reversible fabric coasters available in my etsy shop. These are fun to make and a nice change from installing zippers! I usually make one side a print fabric and the other side a solid cotton fabric, but it is also interesting to use the same fabric design in a different background color, like these parrot coasters in green on one side and tan on the other side.
These peacock feather coasters have a black background on one side and a blue/green backgound on the other side. I really like this combination!
Here is a desciption of some of the details of these coaster sets:
Lined in Insul-bright for superior insulation and to protect your table from hot or cold beverages.
Great for absorbing icy drips from cold drinks or protecting your tabletops from hot cups or mugs. Makes a lovely hostess or shower gift!
Very easy care- machine wash and dry- iron to get rid of any wrinkles. (Do not put in the microwave)
